Disney Travel: Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom
The Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom is the latest amazing theme park within the World. A sprawling five hundred acre compound is home to over 250 species of animals, millions of trees, and several theme rides and shows. The fifteen story Tree of Life greets visitors with hundreds of animals carved into its trunk. From there people can branch out to the various attractions and see African animals roaming freely in a habitat closely replicated from the African Savannas and rain forests.
Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom is so much more than a zoo. Kids and adults alike will be in awe with the amount of detail and care that has gone into this park. From exciting rides that are much more than just hay-rides in a zoo, to educational tours and exhibits, the Disney people have really created a masterpiece here.
Of course, all of the kids favorite Disney characters are on hand to greet them at various places within the Animal Kingdom. Daily shows like Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends, and Its Tough to be A Bug, entertain thousands of people each year. The animals themselves are the true stars of the Animal Kingdom, however. It is always thrilling to see Gorillas, hippos, Giraffes, and others emerging from the trees in their native habitat.
